But the store's not up yet.
After the Amazon thingy, Apple won't be very happy about this at all (assuming this is right).

I'm glad to see this update. I love the double layer superdrive and the APE + BT 2.0 standard. I just wish the 400 GB drive was a little cheaper but I guess a for a 150% increase $200 isn't that bad.

Looks like Apple forgot to update the description of the available hard drives on the 20". They only say 80 GB and 160 GB are available but they only offer a 250 GB and 400 GB. Someone must have started to change it but stopped since the 250 GB was available in the first one.

Excellent upgrade
This is a great update especially the power / price level on the 20" model. Is this a Tiger related upgrade and if so are there related iBook updates close to ensure they are graphically up to the full Tiger experience?
John P.S. Installed Tiger this weekend and was blown away by the new features even on my lowly 1.33Ghx 12in Powerbook.

Man, I sort of feel foolish going to the store to buy a 20" ACD yesterday now. I *knew* the iMac updates were coming this week, but I just couldn't wait. I bought the display solely for my Powerbook. I actually get a discount through my work, so the new iMac would've only cost me about $400 more (since I didn't go for the discount on the display because I was antsy and wanted it right away!).
Of course, I did buy it as sort of a bridge to eventually buy a Power Mac, so I guess by the time I'm ready to get one they will be updated once or twice more and should hopefully be pretty sweet, but the new iMacs now come standard with everything I wanted to BTO anyway. D'oh! |
