Hi - have decided to wait until the major MBP redesign next year before buying a new MBP. In the meantime am thinking of replacing the 200Gb 7200rpm HDD in my early (non-uniody) 2008 15" Macbook Pro (2.53 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4Gb RAM) with a 256Gb SSD.
I'd like to get the 256Gb Crucial M4 SSD if it'll work with my MBP, even though my MBP's SATA interface is only 1.5Gb/s, as have an opportunity to get this quite cheap (less than £260) at the moment. Will it work, though? I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.1 Lion
I definitely need 256Gb (or thereabouts) space, as am running Windows 7 under bootcamp as well as OS X and even under OS X have lots of apps etc.
Alternatively, are there any good, reliable SATA II SSDs that will work that would be much cheaper for the same capacity? Thanks
