Hello, the file was downloaded from a You Tube live streaming event, and when playing it with VLC I cannot move to any given specific time, to forward I have to put the video in play and use the fast forward button, like keeping the fast forward button pushed in an old VCR tape.

I was trying to use iMovie'09 to edit it, and as I was afraid it doesn't recognize .flv videos.

1) IF there is any, what could be a good player I can use to overcome this?
2) What are your suggestions for editing the video to be able to click on the time progress bar and the video playback to behave like it is supposed to be?
3) I have VLC on my iPhone so I could keep the .flv format, but I am open to convert the video. Would it be better to convert to .mp4 with Handbrake and then edit with iMovie?
4) What kind of conversion settings do you recommend to keep the video quality as close as possible to the original, the quality is not so good already.
5) Any suggestions are welcome.
