I did. Mainly because my iPod classic was stolen this week from my car and I have a baby on the way, so I want the best possible camera at all times. Even though I have a really nice Sony camera and camcorder... I know I won't always have those out and accessible. Plus I wanted a white iPhone!

iphone 4s=dual core 1ghz so twice the speed
iphone 4=5mp camera with 720p video
iphone 4s=8mp camera with 1080p video and stabilization
iphone 4=no siri, iphone 4s=siri

I'm working on a 4-to-4S speed comparison video. Since PvZ made the upgrade to retina it now takes 29 seconds to launch on my iPhone 4. Time to boot the 4 and get to the iOS 5 notification screen is about a minute. Hopefully 4S cuts those numbers in half.
But it's not just speed:
- More storage
- Siri (I'm optimistic it'll actually be useful, haters can hate)
- Better camera optics
- Better camera resolution
- Better video (1080p and stabilization)
- Better antenna

Seriously, I really dont' get this. Other than a larger screen what more could you have possibly wanted in this upgrade?

I don't really care for Siri so the upgrades would be the processor and camera and I just can't justify using my upgrade and spending $350 for that. I'll have to wait for ifixit but rumor has it the RAM stayed the same at 512MB which is a bummer.
Agreed. But I believe the only indication it's still at 512MB came from an offhand remark by the Unreal guy who participated in the keynote. I hope ifixit proves otherwise.
Even is it's just a processor and camera upgrade, that's huge!. When the 3gs came out, it had only 1 mp more than the 3g and 200mhz more than the 3g. The 4s has a 3mp camera increase and a 1000mhz increase over the 4 so this is much bigger upgrade than going from the 3g to the 3gs. If you still have the 4, I still think it's a very good phone but to say that the 4s isn't a huge upgrade is not right. It's a giant upgrade!!!
It's an upgrade but nots huge one. Not for what you pay for.
It will be faster but the 4 is pretty fast as it is. Camera is nice but if you don't use it that much you wouldn't notice it.
Siri is the only real ground breaker and even that people will stop using after a while and people will still double check Siri to see if it did it correct
