I don't know if I'm being too ambitious, but seems we should have a single thread for the order statuses and changes.
 
Here is the status of your Pre-order:
We received your order and it is in process.
Expected Ship Date: 10/14/2011
 
Hopefully we will get a status update on our orders tomorrow (today).
 
Ordered: White 4S 16GB @ Approx. 7:20pm 10/7
Confirmation: Rcv'd @ 7:34pm 10/7
Status: We received your order and it is in process.
Expected Ship Date: 10/14

Same status as of 8:04pm CDT 10/10

Exactly what I have. Hopefully this changes tomorrow...it would be awesome to maybe get the 4S on thursday...

New customer, ordered from Apple.com 2 hours before they were sold out.

I still have the same still in process message everyone else has, for delivery on 10/14.

Has anyone been charged for their Verizon preorder yet? I don't see any charge on my credit card yet...

I have not been charged either and ordered around 6:30PM on October 7th.
 
14th for me too. So if the 14th is the "ship date", does that mean it will arrive later than the 14th??? Should it not say "arrival date"? :confused:

Keep checking. I ordered my phone Thursday night @ midnight and the Ship Date said "10/14" for a couple days, then "10/21" for a day, then went back to "10/14"...

"We have experienced technical difficulty while processing your order.
Please contact Us.

this status has shown since saturday 10/08/2011. i called that day and 2 reps verified the order was 100% ready and completed, they said not to worry! Now its 2 days after that and no chance in the status! Anyone else with this problem?:confused:

You have to use the Preorder Confirmation Number, not the Order Number.

i'll try that right now!!

UPDATE: thanks to (richlizard24) i was able to use my pre-order confirmation # and got this status instead......
