If you're stuck on the "Connect to iTunes Screen"

There has been one way to get out of the "Connect to iTunes" screen that has always worked consistently for me.

To this very day it has been by using Tiny Umbrella
It's available on PC and Mac and while there is an app called "Fix Recovery" there I have never used it. Now Let's get to why I posted this in the iOS 5 forum. If you're like me you've tried updating to iOS 5 today and have gotten stuck on the above mentioned screen iTunes only gives you the option to restore the firmware losing all your settings, emails, texts, and everything else unless your backed up. Now I'm going to show you how to use the App. Mind you that iTunes, and iPhoto. Should be CLOSED. Good? Great let's get going...

1. Open Tiny Umbrella
2. Select your device from the left side panel.
3. At the top, after you've selected your device correctly there should be an option to exit recovery. Choose it.
4. Now your Device will go blank and then the screen will turn off and then switch over to the Apple logo. No this isn't some sort of trickery your phone will boot up as if you've just restarted it.

Now you're free to use your device and wait a few days until Apple's servers aren't so crammed or can go at hitting the Update button a lot more.

Note: While writing this post I was going at it for the first time after the first Connect to iTunes logo and call it luck but it is updating and I'm holding it closer to my face watching the progress bar closer than my optometrist would prefer.
