Beta LockInfo for iOS5

Has anyone tried the beta yet?

I'm considering JB tethered tonight... I can't stand iOS5 without some of the things I need, LI being the main one.

Worse comes to worse I'll just restore and it will be back where it is now... a pain in the a$$! I can't stand no calendar and weather on my lock screen! And not being able to hide unwanted apps like stocks is ticking me off...

It works well, even removes the clock on the lockscreen, now i just need winterboard to work flawlessly

Yeah it's working great. The weather/clock, rss, and twitter plugins all work. No bugs so far at all.

is it me or the clock one.. clock plugin is a bit bugged, i see september 2011 instead of oct and it won't switch between months (i'm using it in homescreen, i'll go check it in lockscreen to see if theres a difference)

I gave in and decided to try the tethered JB... the JB went without a hitch, and SBSettings installed and was working fine. Winterboard kept crashing into safe mode, but I didn't really need it - what I really wanted was Lock Info - that's the reason I tried the tethered JB. However, I tried to add the above source in Cydia and kept getting a Verification Error?? So I couldn't even try the beta Lock Info! :( I tried to add it about 20 times :( :(

I didn't see a need to worry about tethered reboots for just SBSettings alone, so I restored for now back to unjailbroken. :( I'll wait I guess for untethered JB and the apps to be updated. How long a wait? I hope not too long!

Hm, that source still works for me...just did a refresh on it and it's still working. You have to type it in exactly. (I'm sure you did though...so I don't know why it won't work for you)
 
LockInfo is working great after last night's update. Before then, mail preview and BiteSMS integration would crash to springboard, and new notifications wouldn't wake the phone. That's all fixed now.

The Facebook plugin doesn't seem to work on iOS 5. It won't let me activate. That's not on LockInfo, though, he doesn't make that plugin.

Only issue I can see is that if you are using the phone (not on the lockscreen) and receive a notification, it pops up in the top bar as usual, but LockInfo doesn't pick it up. So if you get a text, it won't show up on your lockscreen.

If you get the text while the phone is locked, it appears, of course.
 
I think I am just gonna wait it out for the full untethered JB and by then all the bugs will be ironed out. I have played beta tester many times before on many different devices, and think I will just sit this one out :)

Hopefully untethered won't be too too long though.

Same here with September instead of October. Otherwise great.
 
For people who have tried LockInfo on iOS5, does it interfere with apples lockscreen and notification center? Is there any difference between the new version and the previous version in iOS4? Can't stand apples version of notifications..
 
i really really really hope there's a way to get lockinfo working well with the new notification menu.

lockinfo + new notification menu + biteSMS quick-reply = bliss

if you have both enabled (ios5 lockscreen and lockinfo lockscreen), both will show up. i like lockinfo's lockscreen better than ios5, so i disabled anything with ios5 lockscreen notification.

Wow, I was not thinking when I asked that.. just turn off iOS5 settings.. lol.

I do love the banner function though so thats a keeper.
 
I'm not able to get anything from that link you posted for the beta. Am I missing something? Is there a step I need to take that I'm not aware of? Sorry to sound like an idiot, but I'm dying without my LockInfo.

Edit: To be a little more clear, I'm getting a message that says I don't have permission to access that page.

You have to add that url as a new source in Cydia on your iPhone. I had trouble when I tried though... it kept timing out or gave me an error msg.

I am gonna wait for untethered JB and hopefully by then LI will be updated and no longer a beta for iOS5.

if i remember correctly, LI has been in beta for a while. even when it was on 4.x, LI stated it was beta. it was pretty stable still.

Oh I was willing to install the beta! I just could not get the source added! :( And now I just restored to iOS 5 with no JB. There was no point in worrying about needed to boot tethered if I didn't find much to install yet that needed the JB. My biggest JB needs are Lock Info, SBSettings, iBlacklist, 3G Unrestrictor, and Live Clock/Weather Icon for dynamic icons. Of all those, SBSettings is the only thing that was working... so I'll wait until untethered JB is released then try everything again.

I think 3G Unrestrictor and iBlacklist are working now.

how is LockInfo handling the Notifications on the lock screen? Does anyone have any screen shots of the new updates?
 
I've got the beta installed and running. My calendar events are showing and email notifications are coming up but Messages are nowhere to be found. I've had several come in and they're not showing on the lockscreen. This is kind of important.

Anybody know what may be wrong?

Are they coming through from iMessage or as an SMS? I have SMS messages showing up fine, but if it comes through as an iMessage, it doesn't show up.

Im seeing the same thing. That must be it. Everybody I've been texting has an iPhone.
