Does Find My Friends work at all?

I can't find friends, can't invite friends, can't accept invitations...

I keep getting server errors or messages telling me to verify my apple id.

My wife invited me, but i cant accept the invitation as it tells me to verify my apple id on appleid.apple.com "cannot connect to find my friends"

Check your email, and you'll find one from Apple asking to verify your ID. Just click it and you're on your way.

I think this is part of a larger problem, then, not just specifically with Find My Friends. A lot of people are having Apple ID issues (myself included), from verification problems to not being able to access certain services (there's tons of threads in the iCloud forum here and over at Apple Support Discussions). I'm afraid the only thing we can do at this point is sit tight and see if things get resolved in the next few days. Sucks, I know. You'd think they would have anticipated stuff like this after the MobileMe launch fiasco.

While I understand how it works technically, it's still rather creepy.

I tried. Doesn't work at all. Keep getting the same verification error messages, the occasional server error.

You have to move to the cloud first. Once you do...it works great.

Same problem here. Keep getting the validate ID error. I go to the website and it says my ID is already validated or in use or some nonsense like that.

Yes, I have this working using my iCloud ID -- been able to track friends when I want to.

yea i got mine working on my iphone 4 with ios 5.. i just need than 2 frineds LOL

have you just upgraded from iPhone 4(or older) to the 4S?

i have and had to re-register and confirm all account settings again.

everything works fine now

Does anyone else have the problem of the GPS updating slowly? I thought my wife and I could use this to see when one of us gets near home when we are waiting for each other, but it doesn't track very well, just updates every couple of minutes.
