java chat problem

Hi!

I'm trying to enter a java chat room, but somehow don't succeed (on my PC everything works fine). I'm have Java 1.4.2 and Mac OS X 10.3.9 on a 12" iBook G4, and the problem seems to depend on the browser:

Safari: after clicking on the enter button, I almost immediately get the following text:

mbedidth" heht="x31;x30;x30;x25;x25;code" arive=#x61#x70#x70#x6c#x65#x74#x32#x2e#x6a#x61#x72r=115942140"ayscpt="x74;x72;x75;x65;type " counitame=#x63#x68#x75#x65#x63#x61 ircrt="x38;x38;x30;x32;urlpncip="&#a;&#f;&#f;&#e; &#e;&#f;&#d;" ck="x74;x75;x61;x6e;x33;x30;chanl="&23;&4e;&61;&76;&61;&72;&72;&61;"rcho="&#c;&#e;&#e; &#e;&#f;&#d;" rsio"&#x;" >embed>

Camino / Firefox: the java applications starts to download, but it goes on for ages and nothing really happens.

Any idea how to solve this problem?!

Thank you very much in advance.

Best wishes,
