What is the copy/paste keyboard shortcut button(s)?

I believe on Windows it was Control C and then V to paste. I would be wrong, but is there something similar on Mac?

Using a search engine to find answers is overrated, though Siri could change that again, but it will regress to this state again.

Sometimes threads like these help becoming a cynic regarding the state of human intelligence.
