How do you delete songs off of the iPod?

When you put songs from a CD on the iPod, you have to rip them to mp3 first, right?

I'm not exactly an expert but...

You delete songs from the iPod by deleting them from the list in iTunes that your pod is sync'd with.

Yes, you must rip them to MP3's first. Your 5 gigs wouldn't go far if you were storing analog music files (and the pod wouldn't play them).

is a cd analog music?
And the music on it can be digitally recorded or anolog recorded and digitally mastered or analog mastered.
think about it.
