iPhone 4 ios 5 Screen rotation problems

Starting yesterday afternoon I have not been able to get my screen to rotate in to landscape mode. And no the rotation lock is not on. I tried playing a few games like labarinth to see if I could move the ball around and I cannot. I also tried shutting the phone of and back on, and then this morning I even tried a factory restore. None of which worked.

There seems to be a problem with the accelerometer I was wondering if anyone knew a way to fix it at home before I take a trip to the store?
