Hi guys

I bought an iMac 24" 3.06 in July 2009 and I got it with 4gb of RAM. Doing a check on Crucial it says it can hold a max of 8gb (getting a quote for £40 for 2*4gb).

Question is, can it take more as I know sometimes the official max is not the real max? ie 16gb?

TIA

Cheers

Ram arrived this morning and installed.

Crikey - what a difference the extra 4gb makes! If had known this would have only cost £40 I would have done it a long time ago.

Many thanks again.

Cheers
