Removing Text
I'm getting some labels printed and have to send my design into the printers, but i'm not really that fluent using illustrator. I've completed most of the design but i'm just having some trouble removing text from around a box.
I attached an image. I just want to keep the text that's on top of the grey box but remove the surrounding text. Any way i can do this? http://img65.echo.cx/img65/3350/test1qn.jpg |

Rasterize the text, and then use the eraser tool.

use a mask yo. Copy the box, paste IN FRONT of the text(this will leave you with 2 boxes, the one you want to show and the one that's going to act as the mask)
then select the box and your text then go Object>Clipping Mask>Make Hope this helps. |
