frontline systems solver

I was actually looking through my launchpad and found an app called solver. I opened the app up and it opened Microsoft excel for mac and then came up with an error message.

I did some research and from what I can tell, it came with Microsoft Office for Mac.

Can anyone give me any info on this program (i.e. what it does, should I delete it?). I don't like programs that i don't know about on my computer- so i would like to know about this program.

Solver is a component of Excel. Do NOT delete it.
