Hey - I am having a weird issue with Logic 9.1.5 in Lion 10.7.2.

I've done a clean install and moved samples etc over from my backup. All working fine, done this before.
When I opened one of my projects it could not find a couple of files I've used in Ultrabeat.
No big deal, happened the last time I did a clean install as well (some projects do find their samples, not sure what the reason for that is, but not the point here) - I was gonna reconnect the files manually using Logic's file browser (the greyish one shows up here, not the usual Finder window).

So there are two issues I am sure are connected:

1) When I type the name of the missing sample into the search box (Logic complains which specific file is missing), it does not show up. Nothing shows up no matter what I type. When I do the same in spotlight, it finds the file, in the location I expected it.

2) When I open a folder in with the Logic file browser, again it does not show any content.
When I press the back button in the window and then forward again - the content of the folder is there.

There seems to be some issue with Logic's customized open/save etc window - appearantly it does not see files unless they have been opened in there before.
This leads me to the suggestion there is some kind of spotlight/finder style database Logic accesses to show the finder content in its open... dialog boxes.
Apparantly this is corrupt or broken or there is a bug in there.
I already did a reinstall of the app from the CD - just the app though, no preferences etc. That would be the next option but trying to avoid the pain.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

Thanks
Florian
