Hi! My 150 watts adapter for my 4 years old 30" cinema display got broken, and there's no warranty left on the display so I wont get a new adapter that way . The problem is that the original Apple 150 watts adapters are really expensive (~200$ with shipping) so I wonder if it' s possible to get the screen alive some cheeper way. :)

I saw that it was possible to buy a universal 150 watts 24v adapter on this site: http://www.aliexpress.com/product-f...AC-universal-laptop-adapters-wholesalers.html so I cut up the power-cable from the screen and found out that there's only 3 cables running under the rubbershield. It was a red, black, and a silvershielded. Is it possible to cut up the universal adapter and solder it to the red and black wire from the cinema display? I hope you understand what i mean.

In other case, do you have any sites selling cheap 150 watts adapters?

Take care, bye! :apple:
