After taking inventory and going through my main folders where I download and save stuff (Applications, Desktop, Downloads, Movies, Music, Pictures, and Documents) I can only add up that there are less than 50GBs of stuff I have on my machine, however over 160GBs of space is apparently being used on my hard drive. How do I figure out what all this extra bloat is?

Edit: I just restarted and that cleared up about 100 gigs of space.

Those can't find any more than 76GBs of data that I'm using.
Then your settings are wrong. They can reveal everything taking up space on your drive. Check the preferences for the app you're using. Which one are you using?
