I am currently synching 3 devices with my windows laptop:

iPhone 4
iPad 2
iPhone 4S

iTunes remembers my iPad's "manually manage" option, but doesn't retain memory of this option for either of my iPhones after rebooting my PC - effectively forcing me to continuously having to erase and reload my media. It's unbearable.

This is a phenomenon post my iOS5 upgrade.

Can anyone help please? Thanks.

what exactly does it erase when you select the manual option? I made a thread on this yesterday because I want to put music on my iPhone, but didn't know what it was going to erase.

it erases everything and leaves you with a blank slate for vids and music.

Everything on the phone or everything under music and video?
