Very odd situation with my iPad 1.
It is a 16G WiFi model, and was running 4.3.? firmware. I was surfing the web using Safari (just a regular sports site), and had plenty of battery left, then suddenly, bam! Black screen, a few seconds later the Apple logo appeared, then the connect to iTunes screen.
I did this, and iTunes came up with the message, this iPad is in recovery mode and needs to be restored (or something very similar to that).
It has never been jailbroken.
Is this a regular occurance? I have never heard of iPads doing this before, but it is a right pain in the derriere, as I hadn't synced to my PC for ages, and I am having to re-download about half my apps.
I will make sure I sync on a regular basis for now, but anyone now why this happened, and is there anything I should do to minimise this happening again in the future?
Thanks,
Kevin
