Is there a mac equivalent of orbit downloader?

Is there an app like orbit downloader? that lets you download streaming videos, most the apps i've seen for mac aren't really any good.

You can download Youtube videos easily with something like Keepvid. It doesn't need downloading. Just copy and paste the link in the box and go.

It can't download everything tho, I basically want to be able to download videos of a membership site i'm on so I can view them offline and save bandwidth.

Afraid I don't know of such a tool. Maybe someone else will though.

Wow that was so awesome. Thank you so much for that. Now that I know it works I will pay for it. I started with the trial. This is great. Thanks again.

iGetter is nothing like Orbit in being able to capture streamed videos. It is just a simple download manager.

That is the whole suite which you don't need. Jaksta was also in a recent bundle, so would have cost you pennies.

Jdownloader sadly doesn't support all streaming protocols. For example http://svn.jdownloader.org/issues/6036 adobe hds (http video streaming) which is used by most tv stations in Germany is not supported.
