How do I delete 3ivx?

Spotlight does not find everything, try this instead:

Btw, you don't need any fancy drivers for playing back most videos, just use VLC Player or Movist.

The 3ivx v4.5.1 un-installer performs the following:

but that's a pretty old version.

Quicktime codecs are usually in:

/Users/YOUR_USERNAME/Library/QuickTime/

or

/Library/QuickTime/

ONLY delete the 3ivx files... others may be installed and required by iLife

BUT... there should be an un-installer named "Uninstall 3ivx" located in:

/Applications/3ivx/

If you've lost the un-installer, re-install version 5.0.4, and then use the un-installer:

3IVX Watermark Across My Videos

I have a problem with the same program, just a little different. Apparently, at some point, 3ivx trial was downloaded to our Mac. It is now expired and a hideous 3IVX Trial watermark is stretched across my videos for the duration of the playback. As far as I can tell, the program has been removed from the computer, but I feel as though I'm missing something for the watermarks to still be present. There is nothing in the library or any applications or downloads, and the search brings up nothing. I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm on a Mac OS X version 10.6.8 and I think we're working off of snow leopard here. I'm still learning how to navigate the Mac after growing up with a pc.
