I was running my rc car near my house and theres a creek in front of the house, and my rc car went into the creek..well I went with it..and my iPod was in my pocket..and got pretty soaked.

I ran inside took the grip cover off my iPod,and dried it off..found some rice and let it sit in rice overnight..woke up this morning and turned it on..it took it awhile to get back to normal..but now itll turn off randomly, the volume up button wont work but the down will..and it'll start showing that the volume will be going up and down by itself..but is there any way to fix this?

Thanks,
Dakota

It probably needed more than a day. Typically, they suggest at least a week, if not two.

You have about 4 options.

  1. Send it to professionals
  2. Do it yourself
  3. Sell it as is
  4. Keep it

What would I be able to do myself?

You'd probably have to replace the battery, but I'm not sure how to fix the buttons. I probably wouldn't reccomend it unless you have some experience with taking apart electronics.

I'll have to send it to professionals if it get worse..I have no experience with electronics.
