Lost my "Contacts" app Icon.

I'm setting up my new iPhone 4s and cannot find my Contacts app icon. It does not show up on any screen. Of course I have no contacts either.

I did a back up of my iPhone 4 both to the cloud and to my iMac, I've tried syncing to both but no icon. With no icon there is no contacts.

I've searched the forums to see if anyone has posted a similar problem and did not see anything listed.

Does anyone have a solution?

My iPhone 4 does have its icon and all the contacts.

Any help is appreciated.

Did you set your phone up as a new phone, then restore from your backup?

Also, if you dial a number manually, does it then pop up with your contact info for that number?

If you still cannot figure it out, you should just go into your closest Apple Store and ask a specialist if he could troubleshoot the issue for you, or help you with a personal setup.

(I heard about the issue of losing contacts from your iCloud backup, try googling it to find out if anyone else with the same issue has resolved it.)

I remember when I was jailbroken some apps disappeared and I had to soft-reset the phone by holding power & home button till apple logo appears.

Did you check in the folder called utilities?

This. Every time I reset home screen layout Contacts app ends of in utilities folder.

i can't find my contacts or dialer I am on jailbroken iPhone 4s. It was there earlier today .

Can you access it through Phone? There should be a button on the bottom of the Phone app that lets you pull up your contacts.

How bizarre - my contact icon disappeared. Who knew upon reset it would surface in the UTILITY folder. Great tip...I knew I would find a simple answer rather than reset my phone!

just the other day my phone icon vanished. It didn't come back until a few resets and it was no where near where I usually keep it.

I LOATHE the Contacts icon. I hate app redundancy. I can access my contacts just fine from Phone.app. Whenever I jailbreak, first thing I do is hide Contacts.app with Poof!

It's not gone. Swipe all the way to the right and do a search for "Contacts". It'll find it

It's probably off in restrictions settings.

No you can't do that under restriction settings. Did you JB your iPhone 4?

Thank you Verwon...contacts were hidden away in Utilities...they now reside elsewhere! Cheers
