Im using the remote to navigate through the options and when i press the center button to select something my laptop will start playing an itunes song from my library (as if i were pressing the play button on itunes)

is this an option i can disable? whats the deal here!

i have a macbook pro 2011 model

If you don't want to shut off the IR, say if you want to use another remote with the computer, you also have the option of unpairing the individual remote.
