Well...I'm thinking about building an 800mhz mini-itx box, don't want to run windows, and I want to run Seti@home. What linux distro would be best for this?

Any distro will do. It really depends on your familiarity with unix-type systems. I don't know what the more popular 'end-user' linux distros are these days, but I do know that Ubuntu is a hot distro right now. I personally have Slackware on my two Linux boxes, and I love it.

See...I've never used linux, but I'm a complete computer geek, so I really should lol. I've been thinking Red Hat would be a good starter...I dunno. I was going to run Gentoo on my PB till I realized I would have to format my drive to partition it etc etc.
