Password Requested For Every Action.

Hello members,


I seem to have a permission problem after making a new user account. My password is being asked for for every action I take. If I want to move a screen shot to the desktop it ask for my password etc. I have tried to repair permissions and no luck. can someone provide some help with this issue please.

I had the same problem, I did a multiple of things which finally solved it. I had posted it on macrumors, so you may be able to google it around.

On cell phone, otherwise, I may be able to post the link.
 
I found this in terminal.

For future reference, there's also a quick way to do this via the recovery partition:

Boot into the recovery partition (Cmd-R or hold option at startup).

From the Utilities menu, select Terminal.

Type "resetpassword" without the quotes and hit enter.

Select the drive at the top, the user account from the first drop-down menu, and then click the button at the bottom that says "Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACL's". That should resolve any issues like this.

This method also has the advantage (over BatchMod) of avoiding the risk of changing necessary permissions on a folder in your Library or similar location.

I did try this method at first. Maybe it was me. Thanks.
