MBA loose hinge a new design?
Just got a 2011 MBA and the display falls backwards slowly with any slight movement or if angled downward. Went to Apple and they said it is a new design due to old MBP hinges being too tight and breaking. Is this normal? Thanks for the help

The Air hinge is a little loose, but sounds like yours is to loose.

I have had every version except the Rev C, and the hinge on the Rev D and Rev E are a lot tighter, IMO. It sounds like you have a loose hinge. Try going to another Apple Store or see if another Genius looks at it more closely.
