In owning the iPod Classic (current) and iPhone 4, I've discovered a bit of a weird discrepancy in how they handle shuffling songs in a playlist that repeats.

On the iPhone, the songs are shuffled the first time, but that shuffle is repeated when the playlist starts over.

On the Classic, the songs are shuffled constantly, and you truly never know what will come next.

I'm thinking about buying a Nano, and I'm wondering which category it falls into in how it handles shuffling songs. Any input from owners would be appreciated.

I think the Nano's shuffle like the Classic. Reason: They don't run iOS. Even the 6G ones run the generic iPod firmware with a pretty UI.

Can't speak for the iPhone but the Classic also has the tendency to favor songs on shuffle.
