Battery Calibration Question

You can use it or let it sit, as long as you don't shut down or let it sleep. What model Mac do you have? The reason I ask is newer unibody models with built-in batteries come pre-calibrated and do not require regular calibration. This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:

You don't need to calibrate. If you suspect your battery readings are in error, you can calibrate without harming your Mac, but it shouldn't be necessary. Remember, calibration doesn't affect your battery health at all; it only makes your readings more accurate.
