iBooks fix & iFile crashes, iOS 5.0.1 Untethered?

Is it true that the iBooks fix was not implemented in the latest redsn0w 0.9.10b1? The iBooks issue was fixed within the latest 0.9.9 version, I think.

I've read that some people couldn't get iFile to work after jailbreaking iOS 5.0.1 untethered with redsn0w 0.9.10b1? Is that connected with 0.9.10b1 version? Because iFile worked flawless with the latest 0.9.9 tethered version.

I'd appreciate your answers, thanks.

After i updated to iOS 5.0.1 untethered
iFile crashes on startup, i've tried everything!
Is there a fix??

Help me iFile is a part of my life!:p
 
I'm having an issue with iBooks.
Below is the error I'm getting.

I've tried ibooks fix for iOS 5 from xsellize and ibooks fix2 from insanelyi and Books still doesn't work on iPhone 4 5.0.1 jailbreaked untethered with latest redsn0w 0.9.10.

What can i do??

Restarting after using fix2 worked for me.
 
I'm trying with all the patches out there but nothing is working. Come on, this is one of the most important apps for the iPads and iPhones!
 
Okay, i got it, maybe i was lucky, but i got it.

0. Delete iBooks and/or every other patch/patches on your iDevice.
1. Install a clean iBooks from the App Store and then restart your phone.
2. Install the iBooks Fix2 from the insanely repository.
3. Respring the iDevice.
4. The Springboard now should crash and go in safe mode (i don't know why, but the only time it crashed and went in safe mode it worked for me), so if it doesn't crash go in safe mode.
5. Restart the phone.
6. Now iBooks will work (at least it worked for me).

Same iFile problem here, and its making me sad. Any help on iFile would be appreciated.

EDIT: just read (and verified) that if you go into airplane mode or disable data iFile works. Something in the registration is causing it to crash.
 
I hate when I get the cannot comply message when installing things on cydia. I can't even install the ibookfix2 because I get that crap popping up. ifile works fine for me I don't have a problem with it.
 
iBooks fail

Used the ibooksfix2 and iBooks closes after 2 seconds. I used the latest Redsn0w to jb untethered on iPad 1.

Anyone solve this problem?

are you on a tethered jailbreak or the untethered?
 
iBooks Fix!

I found that you can use the old manual iBooks fix to fix iBooks on the untethered 5.0.1:

One modification though, don't delete the original iBooks! Just hide it in a folder somewhere or something. That way, syncing with iTunes will still work!

doesn't work for me. i just jb'd an ipad1 untethered on 5.0.1 and ibooks crashes :(

I'm running a Verizon iPhone 4, so I'm not sure if it works on anything else.

I can't see any particular reason why it wouldn't work on an iPad since it supposedly worked before, but I don't have any other iOS devices to test on . . .

Dam I can't figure it out and have spent hours trying, upgraded and JB my iPad 1 to IOS 5.01 easy but iBooks won't launch, and I can't install iBooksfix2 it just says can't comply I think it's missing something called preferenceloader, but I can't find that and the big box repo list is empty! I have tried deleting lists and plists via iPhone explorer but it still won't install.
Any suggestions where to start?

It probably because BigBoss' repo is down. I'm having the same prob installing PkgBackup. :(

A lot of repositories are bogged down now with so many people updating to the new untethered jailbreak. PreferenceLoader is a real package that should be available on Cydia from one of the default repositories. My best suggestion is to just wait until the repositories are available again. Close and reopen Cydia until the packages start updating. Maybe close all apps and restart too, just for good measure! ^_^

I'm not sure how well iBooksfix2 works with the new untether, though. You might try the method I posted above if iBooksfix2 doesn't work for you.

Be careful with PkgBackup! When the repositories are bogged like this, it can't always reinstall everything, so it may say that it completed while you're still missing some things . . . :(

Also, make sure to uncheck Semitether if you used it before! That could really make a mess of things . . .
 
I had problem with iBooks on 1st gen iPad jb with redsn0w 0.9.10b1.
My iPhone 4 was jb with redsn0w 0.9.9b9d, then untethered jb with 'Corona Untethered'

So I tried tethered jb my iPad then untethered with Corona and iBooks now works on my iPad.

It sounds like the Corona update (1.0-2/3) may have fixed iBooks!

Can anyone confirm that this is actually the case?
