So I've just got my new MacBook Pro.

I work in IT but all of my skills up to this point are with Windows.

Anyway, one thing that's bugging me is say that in a year or so I want to fit a bigger hard drive in the MBP.

Obviously the MBP doesn't come with restore discs - it uses a restore partition as far as I'm aware.

I will have a Time Machine backup, but how would you get the operating system all installed with a blank hard drive and just a Time Machine backup?

Cheers. All understood. I would just create the recovery thing on a spare USB stick if I was ever going to upgrade the hdd.
