Strange lock icon at upper right?

Does anyone know what this @ lock icon/indicator at the upper right portion is? It is right next to the clock and battery indicator icons.

Please look at my uploaded picture.

That's rotation lock. You can disable it by going to the left of the multitasking tray.

that would be the portrait lock orientation icon.

if you double press the home button and swipe over to the left side with the iPod controls there is an icon you can press to turn it off

I'm sure most people that own iPhones don't even know you can double tap the home button for quick app switching

its been around for awhile. you can also swipe one more time over and there is a volume control

It was introduced in iOS4 and was a much requested feature, and one I have on pretty much 24/7
