Angry iPod touch 4th gen problem

hi all, i have just replaced a screen assembly on a 4th gen ipod touch, and now it won't power up, and its not seen by iTunes.
it had a cracked screen, and did work, i got all the clips on ok.
now i have tried all the re-sets ect, nothing.
now is it possible for the iPod, to connect to iTunes, even if the screen is faulty.
i didn't remove the battery, and the ribbon cable looks ok.
any help would be nice, thanks

Can I ask you HOW you replaced the screen? Did you follow a guide? Can you link to that guide?

Desolder the battery cable, wait about a minute, and resolder it back on. Usually that will reset it and bring it back to life, unless you cracked the board.

Arrow ipod 4 gen not recognized by itunes

Hey I fixed a neighbor kid's iPod which had a broken screen and the same thing; I cannot get the screen to boot up or be recognized by iTunes. Did desoldering the battery work for your situation? I'm close to trying that or anything else that might work. let me know, I know this thread is kinda old.

Were you able to fix this by resoldering the battery? If so, I'd like to know how that's done, if there's anything special to it, before I try it. Thanks!

sorry to bump this topic but i had the same exact problem on 2 ipod touch 4g's after replacing the broken screen with the new screen and digitizer, No ripped cables or ribbons and did a perfect flush job with the connections.

Now does not seem like power is going to ipod and charging at all from the ipod ac adapter wall charger and is not recognized on itunes/computer. I have took these apart over and over with multiple ideas from people troubleshooting on the internet with no luck.

Does this soldering and re-soldering the 3rd right furthest terminal connection for the battery work?

There has been a lot of people reporting this problem but no actual solutions work that i can find or see, i even gave one of the ipods to a technician at a ipod repair shop to see if he can find anything and tell me what i may be able to do with the other one.

I have been through a lot of trouble shooting guides doing them my self and no luck of course so i am posting here maybe i will get lucky with something useful.
