Quicktime Won't Play .mov files

Ok, I have seen this around the internet but no solution. I have the latest version of QT installed and even if I change the extension on the file it won't help. Any new info on this problem?

From the error message it seems like your version of iTunes is not compatible with your version of Quicktime. You should make sure both are updated.

From what extension to what extension did you change the file?
Also analyse the file via Use VideoSpec, MediaInfo Mac or MediaInfo to analyse that video and attach the report to your next post. and attach the report to your next post.

Here are the screenshots of QT and iTunes. Also, I ran the videospec program [very neat by the way, thanks] and see that my problem must be that the video format is DV and I guess I can conclude that iTunes won't play native DV files...correct?

Correct, iTunes does not play DV files, QT should though, be it QT X or QT 7.
