Edit: Oh, and it's already been stated that only the Dev Macs use Pentium 4s. The consumer models will use a new chip.

Anyone can, and I'm sure Apple did, set up and ideal situation in which one particular configuration outperforms all others. Benchmarks are inherently questionable; there is no perfect benchmark.
I guarantee we'll see a similar benchmark in a year or two with the new Intel-based Mac on the top and a Wintel machine on the bottom 😉
