Correct Me if I'm Wrong...

..But why are so many people assuming that just because IV Bridge is being released in april, that the new MBA will be released soon after? It seems like most people on here are expecting a May/June/July release date, and I'm not sure why this is so.

Quote:
Notebook CPUs Core i7-3920Qm, 3820QM and 3720QM will be released in April priced at US$1,096, US$568 and US$378, respectively. Other models including Core i5-3520M, 3360M, 3320M and ultrabook CPUs Core i7-3667U and Core i5-3427U will be unveiled later.
"Other models including Core i5-3520M, 3360M, 3320M and ultrabook CPUs Core i7-3667U and Core i5-3427U will be unveiled later."

This means that it could be months after April that an IV bridge processor suitable for the MBA is to be released. Or am I missing something here?

The fact is, people can speculate all they like, I enjoy a bit of speculation myself. Make of it what you will. No one knows when anything is coming apart from Apple. But if you look at MacRumors buyers guide, most products are due a refresh.
2012 should be a busy year for Apple and us guys.

I'm actually planning on getting an IV-Bridge transfusion in the summer, just after I pay off the new redesigned MBP I'm going to buy in the spring.

There has been a bit too much optimistic chat of late about a refresh then. I hope it doesn't materialise for a while after that, given my purchase of a 13" the other day. Standard of a rumours site though, people will continue to make uninformed conclusions off the back of nothing solid.

Is calling it "IV" the cool new thing to do? Man, am I behind the times.

As far as the processor timeline, rumors are just fun. They can be even more fun if you accept their usual inherent optimism and don't get caught up too much in how people react to them. To each their own...
