I was in London this past weekend at Westfield Stratford City. For those who don't know, it's right in the middle of the park where the Olympic Games will be held later this year.

I spotted this while I was there: (not my pics)

The people at the kiosk said they weren't selling the phones but they would give me a £20 Windows Phone Marketplace gift card if I bought the phone in a store and took my receipt to them.

All of the phones on display worked and they were all connected to WiFi and were fully usable. More than can be said for the dead and dummy units in the stores in the centre.

I thought it was pretty neat - I guess one of the big problems they have is that no one really gets a chance to try the phones before they buy. This is where Apple has a huge edge, but things like this should help even it out. If only it was in more places than just London.
