If I ever buy a computer w/o a combo drive (ie an ultraportable), this is the combo drive I'd buy. Its batterys will last through burning 8-9 CDs at 24x speed.

Yeah, the speed of the combo drive is 24x10x8x24x...not bad.

Wow that's a CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive too?
I thought it was just a portable CD player.

Nice, except it's USB 2, not FireWire. You'd think Sony would've added an "iLink" connection. Maybe later.

firewire

i wish it had dual inputs but i'm glad it has usb and is backward compatible with usb 1.1 cuz i don't have firewire yet
