.mac name change

I made a mistake, i picked the wrong name as my main .mac account. I hate it so much i will change it, is there an easy way i can do that or do i have to open another account?

I would like a new name and my main name to be an alias, is that possible?

Unfortunately, you can't change the name you registered under... but you can add aliases to your account. Go to the .mac website under preferences.

Pretty expensive to open a new account just because you don't like the name you selected. 🙁

Can you use an alias as your idisk home page?
Last time I checked the web address would be something like homepage.mac.com/NAME/
Could you use homepage.mac.com/ALIAS/

Sometimes I'd like to share a file but not give out my regular email or chat user name, my .mac accout expired a while ago before anybody says why don't you check it yourself.
