Hidden SSID

Does anyone have any idea how you can get Mountain Lion to join a Wi-Fi network with a hidden SSID? Entering it manually in the Network preferences, along with the password and correct security type, returns the message "No network found." No other other device has any problems connecting.
Thanks in advance!
