I have a macbook from 2008 running 10.5.8 (leopard), my girlfriend bought a laptop back in the fall and is running os x lion.

Am i able to reload lion on my macbook without running into license or any other issues. I don't want to take a license or something and mess her chances up when you has to reload lion into your mac.

Just buy Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard via the Apple Online Store for 29 USD and then upgrade your Mac (doesn't matter if Mac Pro or MacBook or MacBook Pro) via that DVD, then update that Mac via Software Update to the latest version and use the Mac App Store (MAS) to buy Mac OS X 10.7 Lion for 29 USD.
Or buy the 69 USD Lion USB flash memory thumb drive from the Apple Online Store.
