Unfortunately that doesn't help the "always logged into Facebook chat" problem.
There doesnt seem to be any solution; hopefully Facebook will change this the next time they revise the app. If you can restore the previous version from a backup, that will avoid the issue.

Go on Facebook on your PC/iMac and on chat choose "go offline"
