I have a 6th generation 160GB iPod Classic. It plays music fine, works in the car fine. When i plugged it in yesterday, iTunes said it has detected a ipod that appears to be corrupted etc. If i disconnect the ipod by ejecting from itunes, the bar loads almost to the end of disconnected, then the ipod resets to the apple logo. I tried restoring 4 times, it seems like it restores successfully, and then says it will show in the window after it comes back on, but never shows up. The computer seems to recognize it as a disk drive and not the ipod anymore. Any idea how to restore it? tried disk mode etc. nothing seems to work?
