Which Dog Should I Choose?
The family is looking for a new puppy and we have to choose between these two. Both females. They are some small poodle mix. About 6 weeks old.
What do you think. I am personally torn. The little I know about their "personalities" from the breeder is the brown one was more adventurous and a leader type, and the black one was more chill and follow the others type.
The black one is smaller.
Thanks for the thoughts in advance.
The breeder let us take the brown one home for a couple of hours today, and then can take the black one tomorrow home. I have some updated pics of the brown one and will have some pics of the black one tomorrow when I get to take it home for a little. And she wont let us permanently take either of them home for another 2 weeks, that will be I believe 8 weeks old.
Yes, we have one other dog at home. A 20 pound poodle mix that is 2 years old. They got along splendidly today when they met each other. The personality of the current one is 110% attention, and very needy as in petting, going out, etc. lol. With everyone in the house, there is always someone willing to give it some love.
Very cute and has a high pitched little whine. Its honestly really cute. It doesnt just walk, it hopped around in the grass. lol. Eats like a beast, and even got along with our current dog. See pic.
I got the black one today. Attached are some pictures. This one was very very whinny the second we left a room, which was kinda cute. Crawled underneath the bed to explore, and had fun. Even played with the other dog. Even laid on your foot with it just looking at you.
The family is torn.
Two is not an option, according to the breeder, since these are the last 2 she has, once I pick one, someone else gets the last choice as she already is spoken for.
Here are pics of everything above.

Two hours isn't really enough to fully gauge personality, but I would say the black puppy.
Since you have another dog in the house already, you don't want to bring in another dog with a Type A, "I'm the boss here" personality. Unless the older dog is extremely submissive, I would want to bring in a dog that is, as you described "more chill" and "follow the leader" type.
Every puppy is going to be energetic, and she will learn as she goes... but I would take the chiller of the two puppies since you have a dog currently established as the #1.

+1 for adoptions.
Some of the best dogs I've ever had were adopted.
Mac Pro (2010): 3.33Ghz Intel Xeon (6 core) - 24 GB RAM - NVidia Quadro k5000
Macbook Air (2010): 2.13 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo - 4GB RAM

OMG! Total cuteness overload! The little black pup would have owned me the second she laid her head on my foot. My 4 year old Yorkie still does that and it makes me warm and fuzzy every time. nothing better than a cuddly Fluffbutt !
Don't worry about size, look more for temperament, social behavior, whether with your current dog, or family members. (My 2.75 lb Yorkies totally rules our older dog, who is 3 times her size, but they love each other, and play well together. Funny thing, the older, larger Yorkie seemed to be the "Alpha" type before our little one bounced through the door.)
Please post more pics when you've made your final decision, and best of luck!
Edit: looking at your pics again, the black pup will be gorgeous as an adult - the white markings against that pitch black coat will be stunning! Also, the coat appears far silkier, less courser than the brown pup. Either choice will be good, they are both adorable.

A long time dog lover, I'm not partial to any breed. Always ready to invest ample time in training a new addition to the family, the rewards are many. Go with your instincts & common sense. You can't go wrong.
