mac mini hooked to a panasonic plasma

I have the new 2011 Mac Mini Server with the Intel HD Graphics 3000 card hooked to a Panasonic plasma VT25 via HDMI. When I view the desktop the colors seems washed out ? Is there a way to fix this?

System Preferences > Displays > Color > Calibrate or find the right color profile for that TV.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9B179 Safari/7534.48.3)

The Mac mini is calibrated for cool color temps of PC displays. TV displays typically accept much more over saturated warm sources. The Apple TV is designed to be one of these sources. I suggest using calibration software to get much more real life color. Live with it for a few days and you will appreciate the new color accuracy.

Be careful using the mini with a plasma TV. Long hours of static images can cause burn in. Like, realllllly long hours. So make sure you have a screen saver on and don't spend more than 24 hours with it on the same screen.

I have a mini hooked to a Samsung Screen. Not sure if this is applicable to you but... If you have a PC mode on your Panasonic make sure its activated and your connected to the correct cable input to support. This should solve your colour problem without needing to adjust the colour balance settings. It also got me around the underscan issue where the desktop was displaying 10% too large. If your using the Mini to watch movies etc, having underscan activated will fail if you want to watch 3D Stereoscopic films.
