You didn't mention which air you have, 11" or 13". I'll assume 13" for this reply.

You can get more for it on ebay. Check http://www.ebay.com/csc/i.html?Scre...=1&_trksid=m194&ssPageName=STRK:MEFSRCHX:SRCH for sold items.

People seem to be getting $1400-1600 depending on extras such as accessories or applecare, and condition.

Given that you'll pay about 10% in ebay and paypal fees, and it sells for the lower end of $1400, thats still $1360 in your pocket. So... $1250 is too low. I wouldn't take that unless I desperately needed the cash today.

1400 - 10% = 1260

I think the maximum eBay takes is $50 isn't it? Thought I read that somewhere on the site.
There is the 2% PayPal takes also though.

I'd say for you to at least try to finagle your way to $1300. An extra $50 can't hurt ;)

There is no limitation that I am aware of. Combined with PayPal fees, you "lose" 12-15% for an eBay transaction.

Oh I checked and it's actually a $100 maximum.

From ebays website:

Auction-style listings: The final value fee is based on a percentage of the item's total cost to the buyer (less any sales tax). The maximum final value fee for auction-style listings is $100.00. For example, if you sell an item for $1,500.00 and charge $10.00 for shipping, you'll pay only $100.00, even though 9% of $1,510.00 is $135.90. This maximum final value fee does not apply to Stores subscribers.

Good to know. Thanks for the research and education.
