Anyone queuing at the Eldon Square store for the launch?

i'm torn between Metro Centre and Eldon Square.

Sounds like previously doors to Eldon Square have opened at 6am with a queue forming outside overnight which is madness. Anyone queued previously?

The store is due to open at 8.

What have queues been like previous years? Thinking of getting there between 7-8 but need to be at work for 9am in Gosforth

I have been to a launch at Eldon Sq. Think it was for iPhone4. I arrived before 8 and was surprised to see the mall open and the queue outside the apple store was massive! Now that I think about it, the mall opens pretty early for Eldon Leisure which opens at 7.30 I think. Not sure where the queue would form outside before the mall doors are unlocked.

Best entrance to use is the one next to Debenhams opposite The Gate. It's the way I've always gone in to join the iPhone launch queues. They'll either be queueing up the stairs there or have the barriers setup outside the Apple store.

I thought 7am was early enough for an iPhone 4 a couple of years ago but I was still almost 150 back from the front. No idea what it's like for iPad's though I'm afraid.

Well As much as its gonna kill me I am not going to either Eldon or Metro as I dont think Ill be able to get in and out before 9am so i get get to Gosforth for work.

My girlfriend is going to town in the afternoon so will see if theres anything left...

As much as i would love to I am a software trainer and have a course running tomorrow. Doing that would stick it to 15 other people from other business' tomorrow.
