Argh. Shipping backed up to 10pm

Been showing 4pm since last friday and just flipped to 10pm. Fedex progress bar reverted to a shorter timeline to. Does Fefex even deliver that late?

I wish 6 hrs was my biggest complaint. Mines sill processing!

the anticipation of not knowing when it was going to be delivered would kill me. I'm actually glad I missed the preorder and have to camp out. I know that i'm getting my iPad at 8AM sharp friday morning.

I hope that's not the case for me because I'm having it delivered to my workplace, which I leave at 5:30. As of now it shows 3 PM. I didn't select business address because I initially was having it delivered to my house and didn't have the option when changing addresses.

Mind if I ask how early you're showing up?

I'm planning to go by the Apple store some time before noon just to have a look. I might go by one or two Target stores on the way home. If I don't see an iPad available, that's fine. I thought that I'd want to wait a month or two. I may or may not cave on Friday if I have the easy chance to get one.

Does it have an estimated delivery? Mine is exactly the same except it was picked up on Mar 12th (I ordered 90 min after announcement on 7th). Mine says:

Ship date Mar 12, 2012
Estimated delivery Mar 16, 2012 by 3:00 PM

I'm planning on getting there at 3pm thursday afternoon. I'm sure I could show up much later and still get one, but i'm meeting some friends there, and we are just going to chill.

Are you in the USA? So does it say "before 10pm"? Mine just says before 3pm. It looks like this:

I figured that Fedex would be backed up with all of these iPads getting shipped on the same day. I'd imagine that they will have to double shifts and give out a lot of overtime pay this Friday.

all computer generated...ill bet you have it by 5....this is not the 1st time apple and fed ex have done this....they are pros...- mine says 10 pm too...they really should block all the tracking #'s so we don't get brain damage reading into every little change in the track report...

I wouldn't worry about the actual time on the tracking page.

Date is all that matters.

Ya, Friday will be uber busy for the drivers but my FedEx guy has always arrived at my house by 10AM. That's despite other non Apple products that have also said "delivery by 3:00pm".

Sooo, I'm hoping it's a somewhat normal morning delivery.

I may have to put on some Depend undergarments...cause when I see that truck pull in...the bowel might release.

Just sayin.

I sure hope it comes earlier than later...so I don't have to stand by the window like a mental patient.
