Preview and scrolling

How do you scroll through a PDF without having to scroll through the different pages (i.e. how do you scroll in the way that Safari and Acrobat scroll) as I want to scroll down a page and then to the next one without having to go onto a new page immediately.

Also, is there Adobe acrobat available for mac os x tiger?

Yea, smooth scrolling does not seem to be working in Preview. bummer. IIRC there is an Acrobat Reader for OSX, but it's slow and bloated for basic PDF viewing
